NATURAL PREGNANCY CARE
pregnancy & beyond
We specialise in naturopathic care for women who are pregnant, we offer support from the early weeks and through each trimester at critical time points including helping you prepare for birth, breastfeeding, and beyond into the post-natal period.
Our signature pregnancy care program ensures the best possible foundation to create a healthy baby, reduce the likelihood of preventable disease and optimise maternal health during pregnancy and beyond.
Support throughout your pregnancy
Our work is focused on the care of women who are pregnant and wish to take a proactive and preventative approach to their health and that of their babies. Women often come to us at the beginning of their pregnancy journey and attend consultations in the early weeks and then at key time points: 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 28 weeks, 34 weeks, 37 weeks, and post-natal. This approach allows individual treatment plans to be tailored to the changing needs of Mum and baby through each of the trimesters and pregnancy stages. It follows similar timepoints to the medical care of obstetricians and midwives so allowing for a synergistic approach.
Our practitioners help with specific treatment objectives such as improving morning sickness, fatigue or digestive disturbance common in the first trimester, blood sugar management after a diagnosis of gestational diabetes, boosting iron when stores are low or you are anaemic, as well as symptom relief of third-trimester complaints of indigestion, haemorrhoids and varicose veins.
How we support you
From us you can expect recommendations on nutritional wellbeing in pregnancy as well as lifestyle advice, the best supplements to take tailored to your individual needs, benefit and risk conversations based on evidence, and the sharing of our trusted pregnancy resources of books, films, podcasts and allied health care professionals.
It is our aim to educate and inspire you through each pregnancy stage and help prepare you for a positive birth experience and successful breastfeeding journey. We view pregnancy as a critical health window for both you, the pregnant Mum, and also that of your baby – our care reflects this.
Birth and beyond
Importantly, our care does not stop as you birth your baby, the fourth trimester is when we are here to support you with birth recovery and your breastfeeding journey, as well as help in the naturopathic care of your baby if needed.
Our aim is to help you feel vital and well throughout your pregnancy and as you embark on your journey of motherhood.

“Karen has supported me through two pregnancies and is someone I’ve come to trust in managing my overall healthcare needs. I believe her holistic approach to managing my health has been a key contributor to my two safe and healthy pregnancies, especially after she diagnosed me with an auto-immune disorder just as I became pregnant. Over the last three years seeing Karen she has always taken the time to help me understand my test results, offering appropriate nutrition, lifestyle and supplement treatments to help with any health deficiencies. She is warm and friendly and someone that I believe has my best health interests at heart. I’ve referred her to many friends for various health concerns because of extensive care I’ve received from Karen.” JO
